Inglemoor tops Bothell in all-Northshore soccer matchup, Cougs and Viks drop Kingco baseball openers | Prep roundup

Playing in their league openers last night, the Inglemoor and Bothell High boys' soccer teams found the net often, but the Vikings finished with the upper hand in the offensive battle, 5-3.

The scoring barrage started with Kyle Zimmerman unassisted in the 32nd minute, and then Justin Li off Mehron Abdi's assist just as the first half was winding down.

Thirteen minutes into the second half Abdi and Li had a role reversal as Abdi scored off Li for the Vikings' fifth goal, which held up.

Cougar striker Junior Loreto scored all three of Bothell's goals for a hat trick, with Baxter Hagan scoring the Vikings' first two in the 12th and 20th minutes.

Bothell dropped to 2-2 on the season with the loss, and the win was Inglemoor's first in six games so far this season.
